The Daily Record is reporting that Maryland Blue crabs in the Chesapeake Bay have hit record numbers. According to the annual state report, an estimated 764 million crabs in the bay, nearly two-thirds more than last year.

Anyone have a good base year for crabs? How about tons landed per year back to 1600? That line will continue to go up….until it just drops and is gone.
