
Students at Galena and Worton Elementary Schools created art from plastic bottle caps, with the help of teacher Aimee Boumiea.
The office of Mayor Margo Bailey and the Chestertown River Arts are sponsoring the First Annual Recycled Art Show during the Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 21, from 9am – 1pm, in the courtyard behind the Episcopal Church, (accessed from Memorial Row).
The presentation will show how Art and Inspiration can bring new life to “trash”. Alex Castro, local artist and architect, will judge the event; prizes will be given.
The one day exhibit is open to Kent County students and adults. To enter, please bring your recycled art to Memorial Row by 8:30 am, Saturday.
