The Red Brick Oven quietly closed its doors in the beginning of March. The national chain had anticipated a significant college crowd when it opened in 2010 but never caught on with undergraduates nor, it seems, anyone else in Chestertown.
Rumors are too numerous to say with certainty what will replace the pizza venue. Thai anyone?
Jennifer Hicks says
I was surprised…there were many of us who enjoyed the place and they were great when I organized a fundraiser and a birthday party there. Sad to see them go.
Judi O'Brien says
Very sorry to see them go! We liked it and went relatively frequently. They needed a more visible location, perhaps.
Jennifer says
I’m not surprised. The prices were a little steep for what you got, and the delivery drivers weren’t the brightest or nicest. I, for one, am very happy Roma is back in business!
Billie Beck says
Roma????? Who, What and Where ?????
John says
They didn’t close for a lack of business. The owner was overextended. Two other failing restaurants forced him to close all three.
Pam says
Roma makes the best New York Style pizza around. Proccalino’s is good, but their crust is way too thick even when you order thin crust pizza. If I’m not mistaken, they originally came from the Trenton NJ area which was and is known for their pizza and good Italian restaurants.
