The Chestertown Art League will be celebrating the arrival of Spring with their open house on Friday, March 2, from 5:00 to 8:00. Their ‘Spring is in the Air’ show will be in CAL’s Main Gallery from March 2nd through April. Artists in all forms of media, from paint, pastel and mixed media to sculpture, graphite and photography will be displaying their creations.

Co-curators David and Joan Biehler invite all friends of CAL and those interested in the arts to attend and meet the artists. This should be a great way to greet Spring!

Spring may be coming early to the Eastern Shore in spite of the prognostication of Punxsutawney Phil. This means the return of the Ospreys, launching of kayaks, stowing the snow shovels, planting of gardens, jogging and all sorts of renewal. Our winter has been mild and wonderful with many warm days. First Fridays have seen record turnouts. Our March show is exhibiting our own Georgia O’Keefe, Ansel Adams, Monet and da Vinci to maintain this momentum for an early spring.

The show will be in CAL’s Main Gallery at 312 Cannon Street in downtown Chestertown.

Regular gallery hours are Wed. through Fri, noon until 3 pm
Saturdays 10 am – 4 pm, and Sundays noon until 3 pm through October.
Information regarding this show and future CAL shows can be found at www.chestertownartsleague.org.
