Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have the seams of your hand knitted garments look as good as your knitting! Take Sue Wright’s class, Seaming and Hand Knitting, to learn how. Since there is a waiting list from an earlier class, Artworks is adding on another session. This
workshop will take place on Saturday, February 25, 1pm-3pm. The class will be held at Sue’s studio at 312 Cannon Street, behind the Chestertown Arts League building. This is a class for advanced beginners. Sign up early since there is a brief homework assignment to be completed before class. The fee for this workshop is $20 for members and $25 for non-members.
Sue Wright is a Master Knitter, certified by the Knitting Guild of America, and a certified Knitting Instructor. Her interest in fiber arts is of a long duration, completing her first hand knit sweater at age eleven. Sue has since been taught by world class instructors and designers. She has been teaching beginning and experienced knitters at Artworks for the last nine years while serving as co-chair of the Textile Studio. She also teaches at Heavenly Socks Yarns in Belfast, Maine and String Theory in Blue Hill, Maine. Her work is available for sale in the Artworks gift shop.
Regular hours for the gift shop, office, and gallery are Wednesday through Friday, 12-3 and Saturday, 9-3. For more information on classes, membership, or shows, call 410-778-6300, email [email protected] or visit www.artworkschestertown.org.
