Retired law enforcement professional Marty Stetson is running unopposed in November 1st election for the fourth ward town council position. An unapologetic fiscal conservative, Councilman Stetson has recently voted against the plastic bag ordinance, the town’s acquisition of the town marina, and more recently, has been seeking greater renumeration from Washington College for the purchase of the Armory property on Quaker Neck Road.
Marty sat down with WCTR’s Keith Thompson and Spy publisher Dave Wheelan to discuss his positions last week.

That is definitely an unopposed candidate’s jacket.

Could we get the only entrance to the rolling road park paved? I am enjoying the park and track except I can’t push a stroller or ride a bike over the large rocks and uneven ground.
Great park so far
Thanks

Karen,
I am working on that, I have trouble when riding my bike into the park. I will do what I can to get it done, we should at best get it so you with your stroller and myself and the other bikers can ride across the entrance.
