The Hopkins Farm Outdoor entertainment facility, in conjunction with Entity One Productions, is launching their new concert series September 24 with the award winning honky-tonk duo Montgomery Gentry.
One other concert is planned for this fall. They hope to host 10 concerts next year, May through October. Seating capacity is 15,000. According to Bernadette VanPelt, Kent County Tourism and Economic Department Director, county revenue from amusement tax alone would generate $30,000 annually if the shows sell out.
General seating is on the grass. Bring a blanket and folding chairs. Food and beverages are available at the concert. (The Spy was told the $100 tickets, which included a table and chairs, are SOLD OUT, but you might double check.)
Now in their 11th year on the national stage, Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry can look back on one of country’s most impressive legacies as the country/honky-tonk duo, Montgomery Gentry. They have released more than 20 charted singles, and hit the top of the singles charts five times.
