Local PAC (Protect Allergic Children) Consultant, Tammy Studebaker, will teach a class on “Food Allergies and Celiac (a type of gluten intolerance) Disease” on June 8 at Chesapeake College from 9am-11am. Studebaker, an ELL (Eating & Educating, Living Life Life) Foundation consultant and board member has been actively lecturing throughout Maryland. Her personal family experience with critical food allergy issues inspired her quest to understand this widespread problem. She offers classes at Whole Foods in Annapolis (gluten free cooking), lectures at Chester River Hospital, local schools and other venues. Dates for the Whole Foods classes are June 18th, July 16th from 11am-1pm and September 10 which will offer a parent/child gluten free allergy free pizza making class, also from 11am-1pm. To register, go to https://www.acteva.com/go/annapolis, select the class you would like and follow the prompts.
In the weeks to come I will be publishing an interview with Tammy Studebaker and include resources and contacts for more information about food allergies and gluten intolerance.
