Children’s Haiku this Friday at the Compleat Bookseller

May 3, 2011 by Spy Desk

Kristina Henry will be reading and signing copies of her newly-released children’s picture book The Fish Tank at The Compleat Bookseller on High Street in Chestertown on Friday, May 6 at 5pm.

Kristina presents hope for harmony in her latest children’s picture book.

Written in haiku with bold color illustrations, The Fish Tank explores the concept of living together peacefully and happily. Tropical fish in many shapes, colors and sizes dwell in a murky aquarium. In their world, they either fight or hide to survive. When a newcomer arrives and cleans the glass tank, the fish see things clearly for the first time.

Kristina Henry’s work has appeared in The Washington Post and The Washingtonian magazine. She is the author of Sam: The Tale of a Chesapeake Bay Rockfish (Tidewater Publishers, 1997) and lives with her husband Mike in Easton, Maryland.

The Fish Tank is available for $16.99 and may be purchased through the Compleat Bookstore or at www.schifferbooks.com, your local bookseller and at numerous online retailers.
