Radcliffe Creek School has announced that February 19, from 5:30 pm-11:00 pm, the school will host its popular Winter Dance and Auction for the third year in a row. The party is designed as a fundraiser for the unique programs and incredible students served by the school. The only school of its kind in the area, Radcliffe Creek School offers multi-sensory, individualized instruction for students with learning differences using research based teaching methods and a very low student to teacher ratio.
Like the 2010 event, this year’s dance will feature music from the incomparable band The Nightlife, and promises to be an evening of great fun for a great cause. With turnout expected to be larger than the previous year’s 200 attendees, the school has decided to host the February event at the Chester River Yacht and Country Club. The program will combine a Live and Silent Auction as well as a raffle and a much anticipated game of “Heads or Tails,” for an Apple iPad.
Some of the Auction prizes include:
Stand-up paddle board
Trip to Puerto Rico
Vacation in Blue Hill, Maine
2 Tickets to the Ravens
2 Tickets to the summer U2 concert in Baltimore
Travel and tickets to the Monday Practice Round of the PGA Masters in Augusta, GA
Additional features of the Auction are art from local favorites, Robe Glebe, Nancy Hammond and Mary Pritchard. Also included are items that are wildly popular for the students, such as: “School Director for the Day,” and “Pizza Party and Outdoor Movie Screening” with much loved RCS teacher, Kevin Gilchrest. A complete list of the auction items will be available on the Radcliffe Creek School website at www.radcliffecreekschool.org starting February 7, 2011.
Ticket prices for the popular event start at $65 for individuals and increase to $100 per person for tables of 4 or 10. Pricing for the tables also includes several alcoholic drinks and advertising in the event program.
