A dispute over rental property in Millington resulted in “at least one” stabbing and other unspecified injuries to three men, according to a report from the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s office.
“Initial investigation indicated the verbal dispute over a maintenance issue between the homeowners and their tenant’s male friend then escalated to being physical,” deputies said.
“At some point during the argument at least one subject was stabbed.”
The report did not identify who was stabbed, or how badly.
Gregory A. Reed of Chestertown was hospitalized at Easton Memorial Hospital. Two others, Albert Jones Jr., of Millington and James W. Jones of Chambersburg, Pa., were treated at Chester River Hospital and released.
The incident is being investigated by the sheriff’s Criminal Investigation United. Charges are pending.
Queen Anne’s deputies were assisted at the scene by the Crumpton Fire Department. One of the sheriff’s patrol cars was slightly damaged as one of the fire department vehicles was leaving the scene.
