Sue Foley brought her brand of blues and roots music to the Garfield Center for the Arts this past Friday night.
With three back-up band members, Foley reached an appreciative audience through a strong performance of her guitar and singing skills. Most of the night’s playlist was comprised of her own works, many already published.
Foley hypnotized In one piece, ‘Ice Queen’, a melodic, low-key ballad, mentioning the work is destined to be the lead track on an upcoming CD. Switching from acoustic to electric guitar, Foley and her group picked up the second half tempo, and concluded the night with a two song encore.
The Sue Foley Band was the fifth of six performances in the Blues at the Garfield series, which concludes on November 11, 2016, with The Nighthawks.
