Artworks, one of the Eastern Shore’s brightest and most diverse community craft and art centers, is embracing the holiday season with a stunning new show and gift sale in its downtown Chestertown shop.
A special grand opening party celebrating the season in art will take place on Friday November 18 from 5-8 pm, and art connoisseurs, aficionados and laymen alike can continue in the spirit on First Friday December 2, with another festive evening amid downtown Chestertown’s sparkling holiday lights and music. Artworks visitors can meet many of the talented members while browsing through the gallery and enjoying a cup of cheer.
The annual sale includes jewelry, hand-woven items, pottery, garden sculpture, artwork, note cards, wood-turned items, photography, knitted apparel, metal work, and more— an impressive collection of reasonably-priced gift ideas for that hard-to-buy-for relative or friend.
Artworks is a non-profit community art and craft center which also manages a clay studio at the former U.S. Coast Guard Station in Worton, in partnership with The Arts at Still Pond Station. Purchases from Artworks help to support local classes and programs for children and adults and to foster arts on the Upper Eastern Shore.
