On Saturday, March 22, at 7 p.m., Kent Chamber Music welcomes back the Peabody Consort, to perform at its 5th concert of the season.
The Peabody Consort, an early music ensemble founded by Peabody faculty lutist and director of the Early Music Program, Mark Cudek, will be performing a selection of Renaissance works by Dowland, Hume, Morley and others.
The Consort is a select group of student musicians from the Peabody Renaissance Ensemble. It includes viola de gambist, Brian Kay; countertenor, Daniel Moody; soprano, Julie Bosworth; Jeffrey Grabelle, bass and treble viol; Jeremy Lyons, Bandora and Baroque guitar; Aik Shin Tan, recorder and Baroque flute; and Niccolo Seligmann, bass viol and vielle.
The concert will be held at Hotchkiss Recital Hall, Gibson Center for the Arts at Washington College, 300 Washington Avenue (Route 213), Chestertown, at 7 pm. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $15.
