Beekeeping is an art that is filled with fun, constant learning opportunities, and deliciously sweet rewards. This class is intended for anyone interested in keeping honeybees and learning more about these wonderful and fascinating insects.
We’ll cover basic honeybee management, honey production, pollination, equipment, and learn about the challenges impacting bees and the health of our hives. In a matter of hours you can gain enough knowledge and understanding to start your own bee hive.
The class will be held on Saturday, March 1st, 9am-5pm (plus two hours of hands-on learning with real hives when the weather cooperates) at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Trappe – in the Parish Hall directly behind the church. Space is limited to 15, so reserve your spot early.
The class is held by BeeGeorge, aka George Meyer, the owner of BeeGeorgeHoney, LLC. He lives outside of Oxford Maryland and sells his honey throughout Talbot County via local merchants. Contact BeeGeorge at [email protected].
