I moved here a year ago January 2015. The previous captain of the Sultana had been here for a number of years; I replaced her last winter. I was captain of Lady Maryland over in Baltimore and a regular at Downrigging Weekend here for I think as long as Downrigging has been around.
After living in Baltimore for a number of years, I really enjoy being in Kent County and Chestertown for the community. And it’s so much slower plus it’s not quite as wild as Baltimore. Also, my girlfriend and I live out at a great spot right down by Langford Creek. It’s great being by the water and in nature everyday. It’s great being in Kent County.
Do you think you will stay?
ABSOLUTELY

Editor Note: The Chestertown Spy and RiverArts have partnered in 2016 to share the art organization’s community arts project “Humans of Kent County,” designed to celebrate the wonderful, unique folks who live and work in Kent County. Citizens are invited to interview and photograph from young to old from all corners of the county and to submit a photograph and brief story to be part of the project. It will be posted on the Spy each week and each quarter the most interesting photos and stories will be enlarged and produced for an exhibition at the RiverArts gallery in Chestertown.
