Chair Yoga

Yoga instructor Fletcher Johnson will lead a brief introduction to chair yoga that will leave you feeling relaxed for the rest of your evening! Chair yoga is a great way to stretch while alleviating pressure on the joints and is perfect for first-timers, people with physical limitations, and those who want to experience yoga poses in a new and different way. Registration required.
Artist Reception: “Nature and Wildlife Photography” by Jim O’Leary

In July, Jim O’Leary, Senior Scientist at the Maryland Science Center, will share his eye for artistry with Kent County with his “Nature and Wildlife Photography” exhibit at Kent County Public Library’s Chestertown branch.
The exhibit will be displayed beginning July 2nd and can be viewed anytime the library is open. A reception hosted by Mr. O’Leary will be held on Wednesday, July 15 from 5-7pm. All are welcome to attend, meet the artist, and mingle with others who appreciate art.

All month at all three branches, the summer reading program continues at KCPL! With “Preschool Adventures” for ages 3-5, “Supervillains: Make a Minion” and “Superhero Sock Puppets” for kids 5 and up, and “PLB Comics Workshop” for teens, there’s something for all ages.
