Q: What do you get when you mix eight snakes with 99 grams of marijuana?
A: Your house full of cops and multiple criminal charges.
The Queen Anne’s County drug task force executed a search and seizure warrant on Batts Neck Rd., in Stevensville, assisted by uniformed deputies, Maryland State Police, Centreville police, the county’s tactical EMS team, state Natural Resource Police and Animal Control officers.
What they found: eight “exotic” snakes, 99 grams of marijuana with 41 grams packaged in 10 separate baggies, two marijuana plants growing under lights in a closet, $900 in cash, a .22 rifle and a digital scale.
They charged James Earl Withrow of that address with manufacturing marijuana, possession with intent to distribute, possession of DCS paraphernalia and possession of a firearm during a drug traffic crime.
