The July show in River Arts’ Main Gallery will explore the beauties, the wonders, perhaps even the oddities of rural life.
What aspects of country life inspire your creativity? The seasonal rhythms of planting, a bountiful harvest, an early frost? The bustle of parades, fairs, summer parties, farm markets?
Perhaps you’re arrested by the solidity of tools and objects of daily life or by the transience of light and shadow playing across a changing natural environment.
Whatever your imaginative take on “Rural Life,” you’re invited to enter up to 2 works in any medium or style. All entries must be for sale. Hanging items must be properly wired for hanging. Fees per each entry are: $10 for members and $20 for non-members.
Gallery drop off dates for your work are Sunday, June 26, and Monday, June 27. The show, curated by Barbara and Jack Fancher, opens First Friday, July 1.
Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 11 am – 4pm, Saturday 10 am to 4 pm. On First Fridays the gallery is open until 8pm. For more information, please visit www.ChestertownRiverArts.org or call 410 778 6300. RiverArts is located at 315 High Street, Suite 106, Chestertown, MD. 21620.
