Revelers of all ages will be celebrating at the annual Mardi Gras Community Dance Party Saturday, February 6 at the Garfield Center for the Arts in Chestertown. The perennially popular Dixie Power Trio (plus one) will entertain beginning at 8 pm, with the lobby doors open at 7 pm. Philip Dutton & the Alligators will take the stage at 9.
Costumes are not mandatory, but highly encouraged. Dance to New Orleans jazz, zydeco, Cajun, street parade, and Louisiana-style funk. King Cake and lemonade are included in the ticket price. A cash bar will feature Mardi Gras specials. Reservations Recommended! General Admission is $25; a $30 Backpack ticket ensures that $5 will be donated to the local Community Food Pantry Backpack Program. Student tickets are $15 with ID.
