Washington College updated its Facebook page to alert the campus that based on new information from law enforcement, the administration has decided to once again close the school until further notice on Tuesday morning.
According to the statement, there is now warrant out for Washington College student Jacob Marberger’s arrest, and a high-intensity search is being conducted by state and federal law enforcement. They are requesting that all students should return to their residence halls immediately. Students who live off campus should return to their off-campus residences. In addition, faculty and staff should return to their offices or remain in their offices until further notice.
Again, the College stressed that there had been no direct threats against campus or any members of our community but in the interest in caution decided to close the campus
