Too Good To Be True: Redner’s Set to Open Today

Final preparation and stocking is taking place and the finishing touches are being applied to Redner’s newest store in Chestertown, Kent County (Md.) for its grand opening this week!  Unique to its grand opening celebration, Redner’s Markets invites the local community to get a first glimpse of their new store during an open house held Tuesday, May 12 from 5-8 p.m.  Redner’s store director John Henry, along with corporate staff and directors will be on-hand to welcome the community to its new grocery store.  The public is welcome to browse through the store and sample many of the delicious products that will be available.  Wednesday, May 13 will feature a brief, closed ribbon cutting ceremony with company and Chestertown city officials prior to officially opening for business at 8 am.

Measuring in at approximately 45,000 square feet, the new Chestertown Market (17 Washington Square) in the Washington Commons Shopping Center will be a full service grocery store offering services such as; in-store bakery, full service deli, fresh produce, and fresh meat & seafood departments, along with frozen, dairy, health and beauty aids/non-foods and grocery departments.  This store will be a model, moving forward for al new locations with the installation of LED lighting throughout the store and also within the store’s parking lot.  In addition to being a superior lighting option and the environmental savings of electric consumption, LED lighting can beneficial for meat color stability and the shelf life of fresh fruit!  At full operating conditions, the store will employ approximately 125 people in both full and part-time positions and be open 6 am – 10 pm.

Customers can participate in Redner’s Pump Perks fuel discount program and save money on their fuel purchases at a High’s Dairy Store, which is located in the Washington Square shopping center!  For every $100 spent on groceries, customers are able to earn a 10¢ discount per gallon, which can be used during a future fuel purchase. There is no limit to the amount of discounts that can be earned and customers can redeem their Pump Perks at any time.  Unique to this location will be customized & reusable Chestertown Eco-Bags, which will be given with each order through 5/20!  Customers will be able to take a free copy of Redner’s HealthCents newsletter and speak with Corporate Dietitian, Meredith Mensinger, about making healthy, nutritious decisions when shopping for food.
