This weekend the budding musicians of the Eastern Shore School of Music located at Music Life in Chestertown are once again preparing for their seasonal showcase. After its second successful year, new musicians have grown by leaps and bounds and are ready to share their new found talents with the community.
Owner and founder, Bill Drazga is thrilled with the progress that his students all ages and instructional levels have made as the school has grown. The diversity of the students and teachers, from age 5 to 75, highlight that the region is ripe with people with a love for music ready to be nurtured. Students range from preschool school to adults have been
practicing and working towards this event for months.
The showcase concert filled with Christmas carols and holiday fare will be in two parts. On Thursday Dec 18, at 6:30 middle school, high school and adult students will perform holiday favorites on saxophone, guitar, trumpet, flute and more. On Saturday Dec 20 at 10am, the Little Mozarts class of pre-k and elementary children will sing and perform Christmas songs, followed at 11am with a piano recital of teen and adult learners.
Light refreshments will be served between performances and after the show.
The free concert will take place in the Upper Room of Music Life located at 241 High Street. For more information about the school and its programs
