Unitarians Discuss Forgiveness on Sunday

December 10, 2014 by Unitarian Universalists

Share

On Sun, December 14, 10 AM, Ms. Jean Charles will present a sermon entitled “Forgiveness is Not for the Weak (An Amish Tradition)” for the Unitarian Universalists of the Chester River, 914 Gateway Dr., Chestertown. Forgiveness can be one of the most difficult concepts to grasp. This may explain why it’s one of the most difficult and greatest gifts to give. Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware member Jean Charles will speak of one of the most amazing times of forgiveness with her personal experience on the outskirts of the Amish shootings in 2006. Forgiveness is desirable, but how do we get there? How can our ability to forgive radiate compassion and love beyond ourselves to a broken world that yearns for healing? Therefore, allowing us to become the sources of peace, because we never know when or what will touch another’s heart.

Childcare and children’s programs will be available. Please call for more information at 410-778-3440 or email [email protected].
