Creative Lives Series Continues at RiverArts on Sumi-e Painting

The upcoming installment of our Creative Lives Series – a lecture/demonstration by Sihnja An Whiteley on Sumi-e painting – will be presented on Tuesday, October 14 from 5 to 6 p.m. in the RiverArts Main Gallery.

Sumi-e painting, also known as literati painting, is an East Asian type of brush painting that uses black ink in various. For centuries, this most prestigious form of Chinese art was practiced by highly educated scholar gentlemen or “literati.”

Sihnja will present her lecture/demonstration at the Chestertown RiverArts Studio Gallery, 315 High Street, Suite 106, Chestertown, MD.
