Made reservations yet for Colchester Farm’s Oktoberfest celebration? It is Saturday October 4, from 4 to 9 PM on the farm- rain or shine!
The fun starts at 4 pm with children’s activities and seasonal beer tasting. The buffet opens at 5 pm with Chef Sabrina Sexton creating season dishes from Colchester Farm CSA’s harvest, including house made sauerkraut, pickles, rosemary roasted sweet potatoes, spaetzle, sauteed greens with garlic. GrillMeister Gunnar Roe is roasting the pig for pulled pork sandwiches. A cash bar will feature local beers and wines.
Wilmington folk-rockers New Sweden will keep your foot stompin’ and get some folks out on the dance floor. Raffle tickets for an afternoon sail on the schooner Martha White
complete with music, food & wine will be on sale – the winner will be picked that evening.
Tickets are just $30 for current CSA members, $35 for non-members, and $10 for ages 12-17 (children under 12 free). Purchase tickets in advance and receive a $5 discount per person. (Children’s tickets not discounted.)

Proceeds from the event support Colchester Farm CSA’s education programs. Colchester Farm programs inspire healthful change and an awareness of the natural and edible world through community cooking classes, small-scale agriculture workshops, field trips for K-12 youth, and internship and work-exchange opportunities.

Colchester Farm Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a nonprofit, small-scale farm that grows fresh local produce for shareholders and community members, and offers apprenticeships and education programs. The CSA promotes an alternative model of farming that strengthens the relationship between farmers, community members, food, and the land.
