The State Highway Administration (SHA) begins patching work to repair separate sections of MD 213 in two communities where state roadways were damaged by the severe weather of the past winter in Queen Anne’s and Kent Counties.
The project will be patching MD 213 (Centreville Road) within the municipal limits of the Town of Centreville Tuesday and Wednesday, June 17-18, weather permitting, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Repair and patching work on MD 213 (Augustine Herman Hwy.) within the municipal limits of the Town of Chestertown will be conducted, Sunday and Monday, June 22-23, weather permitting, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. There will be no repair work on either section of MD 213 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 19-21.
The contractor for the MD 213 repairs and patching is David A. Bramble, Inc., Chestertown. The repairs are part of SHA’s areawide maintenance contract. During the road repairs, motorists will encounter single lane closures June 19-20and June 22-23 between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. The contractor will use variable message boards, temporary signs, flaggers, and cones to guide motorists through the work zone. Motorists should plan extra time to move through the work zone during the repair project.
