Christ United Methodist to hear El Salvador Missionary

May 13, 2014 by

Share

Voices on the Border (Voices) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting just and sustainable development in El Salvador. In 2012, Voices celebrated 25 years of accompanying Salvadoran communities in their struggle for social justice and sustainable development.

Voices is a small organization, but our strength lies in our experienced staff, knowledge of El Salvador, close relationships with our local partners, and willingness to look beyond traditional development paradigms.

Voices is always traveling to El Salvador and we’d love for you to join us. Reading or hearing about social justice issues, or how our Salvadoran partners have accomplished so much in the face of such great adversity is one thing. It Is another to travel to El Salvador and stay with families in rural communities, meet with civil society leaders and government officials, and hear testimonies from community members. Our friends and local partners have inspiring stories and great hospitality – come on down and experience it for yourself.

Voices leads five or six delegations from the U.S. to El Salvador every year. These delegations are organized around our partner communities (but are open to the public), university groups, or specific topics or issues (i.e. environmental protection, public health, etc…) Join us on one of these delegations or let us help you organize your own.

Rosemary Ramsey Granillo will preach at Christ United Methodist Church on May 18th during our 10 am Worship Service. Afterwards she will be available to answer questions about Voices on the Border.
