Local Churches Invite Public to Holy Week Events

During Holy Week the public is invited to a series of special events sponsored by several local churches.

Thursday April 17 at 7 p.m., Christ United Methodist Church (401 High Street) will host a Maundy Thursday/Last Supper Service.

Friday April 18 at noon, First United Methodist Church (105 N. Mill Street) will host a Cross Walk/Stations of the Cross service in the Garden Chapel behind the church. Also on Friday, at 7 p.m. Potter’s House Ministries (8814 Fairlee Road) will host the Service of Seven Last Words.

Sunday, April 20 at 7 a.m., Easter Sunrise service will take place in the Wilmer Park pavilion.

Immediately after the sunrise service everyone is invited to a community breakfast at Christ United Methodist Church. Regularly scheduled Easter services will also be held in each church; check with each church for times.
