Afterschool Acting Workshop for Teens at Garfield Center

Instructor Tess Hogans offers an interactive, fun, educational experience valuable for experienced and inexperienced teens interested in acting. This 5 week-workshop runs Tuesday and Thursday afternoons (4:00 – 5:30pm) from March 4-April 3, culminating in a public performance on First Friday, April 4th. The workshop will focus on warm-up games, improvisation and performance.

Tess is a native of Chestertown and a graduate of Wheaton College in Massachusetts with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre and Dance Studies. Tess works as a drama teacher for The Maven Academy in Annapolis, and is an actor/director/volunteer at the Garfield Center for the Arts at the Prince Theatre.

This workshop is offered for youth ages 13-18. Tuition for the 11-session workshop is $120; some scholarship support is available.
