After listening to YMCA’s Eastern Shore Director Robbie Gill talk for ten minutes, it is hard not to immediately see the potential of this 150 year old institution setting up camp in Worton or downtown Chestertown. Gill, a “lifer” within the YMCA community since early childhood, sat down with the Spy last week to talk about his organization’s extraordinary outreach programs now happening in Easton, St Michaels, Caroline County, and soon in Centreville.
In his description of these high impact efforts to keep young people thinking and doing, the positive implications for Kent County to include an important ally like the YMCA in all aspects of lives, young or old, seem almost irresistible.
This video is approximately ten minutes in length.
