On Tuesday, December 17, a fire destroyed a family home in Centreville. The family of five survived, but they lost their family pet.
Everything in the home is gone – all of their keepsakes – and all of the Christmas gifts purchased for the three children. Mr and Mrs. Grimes have a 12 year old son and 9 year old twins {boy and girl}
Friends and neighbors quickly formed a team in order to help the Grimes. I was asked to share the information with as many people possible.
Clothing donations are being accepted at Kennard Elementary and Centreville Middle Schools: size 6-8 for the daughter/shoes size 2.5 and size 10-12 and 12-14 for the boys/shoe sizes 4.5 and 8.
Monetary donations are being collected at Edward’s Pharmacy or may be sent to Centreville Middle School, 231 Ruthsburg Road Centreville, Maryland 21617. Please write “Grimes Family Fund” in the memo section.
If you have some extra clothing or a little extra money, I am sure the family will appreciate it. I understand that the American Red Cross is, also, helping the family.
The information above was given to me. If there are any additions/corrections, please make them in the comment section below.
Christmas is for giving – Let’s Pay It Forward!
Many Thanks – and Merry Christmas,
