RiverArts Offers Alternative Gifts with New Holiday Show

November 19, 2013 by Chestertown RiverArts

Share

Coming into the RiverArts Studio Gallery on November 23 is the first part of the “Holiday Show and Sale” which will expand into the Main Gallery as well in December. What makes RiverArts gifts so special is that they are all hand-made, one-of-a kind and affordable.

There will be a vast array of items that make great holiday gifts at very reasonable prices. In addition to the usual favorites – jewelry, woven scarves, knitted wear, wooden vessels and cutting boards, richly colored pottery, paintings, pastels, photography, cards, etc. – there has been a call out to member artists to expand the offerings for other popular and needed gift items such as lots of inexpensive stocking stuffers and trees and window ornaments, gifts for men, babies and toddlers, as well as household items. The price range is broad but there are lots of choices for under $100.

The show’s curators, Sue Wright, Connie Schroth and Shelley Minch will be organizing the items making it easy to shop. They are currently exploring ways to help shoppers find perfect gifts for men and women, children, teachers, party hostesses, and, of course, that special person in your life.

RiverArts Gallery and Gift Shop are located at 315 High Street, Suite 106. Hours are Tuesday-Friday 11:00-4:00, First Friday 11:00-8:00, Saturday 9:30 -4:00 and Sunday noon-3:00. For more information on RiverArts go to www.chestertownriverarts.org.
