Celebrate the beginning of the holiday season this weekend at the 4th Annual Holiday Galleria, Friday November 8, and Saturday November 9 at the Kent County Community Center in Worton, MD. This year’s event features a Patrons’ Party Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm where guests can preview the shops and participate in an extensive silent auction as well as a raffle, while enjoying hors d’oeuvres by Jeff Carroll catering . The Galleria is open from 10 am to 4 pm Saturday, complete with a luncheon café.

A wide variety of items will be on offer, including local and fine wines, designer apparel, home and garden décor, jewelry, fine art, antiques and collectibles, hand-crafted soaps and lotions, holiday decorations, children’s clothing, toys, and pet accessories. A more complete list of vendors may be found at https://www.familiesshine.org/galleria.html.

Highlights of Friday evening’s silent auction include a signed print of the Skipjack Ellsworth, a framed Chestertown waterfront panorama, a sail on a racing Trimaran, a private tour of the Walters Art Museum, and a professional landscape consultation. The raffle is open both Friday and Saturday, and features a number of restaurant and store gift certificates, a wine tasting, and even a home vet visit.

Tickets to the Patron’s Party are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Saturday there is a general admission of $5. For further information and tickets to the Patrons’ Party visit www.familiesshine.com or call 410 778 7911.
