The Chestertown Tea Party Colonial Festival, in association with the Live Playwrights’ Society, is pleased to announce a call for scripts to be considered for Revolutionary Theatre 2014. Revolutionary Theatre is going into its 6th commemorates Chestertown’s involvement with the Revolutionary War. Playwrights should focus on creating plays with some connection to the Colonial-era and, if possible, Chestertown. However, scripts do not have to reference the Tea Party itself. Plays should run between 10 to 30 minutes, and longer scripts will not be considered. For logistical reasons, plays with small casts (5 or fewer people) are preferred. Playwrights can submit one or two scripts, so please submit your best.
Plays must be submitted via email to [email protected] by January 31,, 2014 and the selected play (or plays) will be announced in March. If a play is selected, it will be produced and staged Saturday May 24, at the Garfield Center for the Arts, during Tea Party weekend.
