Kent County Public Library is pleased to announce a First Friday art reception featuring the work of THE ART GROUP. Drawing from the work of artists who engage in oil painting, watercolors, sculpture, craftmaking, and other art forms, THE ART GROUP has created an exhibit that is filled with diversity of style, form, and subject matter. The artists–Allen Johnson, Betty Smith, Kevin Harris, Trudy Harris, Valerie Anderson, Michael Sampson, and John Mason–invite your participation at February’s First Friday reception.
KCPL is also delighted to have a February exhibit of artwork created by students who attend Friendship Montessori School and Kent County Middle School. The work of these young artists will be on display in the Children’s Department.
The public is invited to visit KCPL’s Chestertown branch between 5 pm and 8 pm on Friday,
February 1, 2013 to enjoy the artwork, meet the artists, and engage with others who support and celebrate the arts in Kent County. Convenient parking is available, family-friendly refreshments will be served, and all are welcome to attend this free community event.
All artwork showcased at the First Friday reception will remain on display at KCPL’s Chestertown branch during the month of February.
