Radcliffe Creek School (RCS) is pleased to announce that the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year will also bring the launch of a new Infant Care Program. Following in the tradition of community availability and exceptional education already set by the Radcliffe Creek School and the Little Creek Preschool, the program is designed as an environment where the even smallest “student” will be encouraged to thrive.
With the great success of RCS’ Little Creek Two’s Program, it became clear that many young families in the area were in need of infant care as well. After an extensive community survey and review, the Radcliffe Creek School administration made the decision that not only was there a need in the community, but also that it was an logical extension to the Little Creek Preschool.
While care of infants requires a different set of tools and teaching skills than 2, 3, and 4 year olds, the basic tenets of caring, encouragement and individual attention are no different. The current classroom can host six infants with two staffers, following the state mandated 3-1 ratio. The infants will be nurtured in an environment that will provide a safe, hygienic and loving experience.
