The Kent County Public Library is sponsoring three events this Friday, July 13: the Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theater presents a two-man show of Puss-n-Boots at 2 pm.; also at 2 pm – there will be a showing of the musical comedy, Swing Time, with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.
The final event, at 5:30 that evening, “Superstitions, Curses and Friday the 13th” with Ed Okonowicz, is an entertaining program featuring photographs and audience participation. Folklorist and author of many books, including, Ghosts, Okonowicz explores the fascinating world of superstitions including their origins, historical examples and why they remain a significant part of our folklore, culture and everyday life.
