On Sunday, May 6, 10:00 AM, Ms. Annie Lavin will deliver a talk entitled “What IS This Thing Called Shame?” to the Unitarian Universalists of the Chester River, 9145 Gateway Dr., Chestertown, located in the Crestview subdivision. Shame creates a formula for life, albeit a self-destructive one. It thrives on judgment, usually self-condemnation. The pain of being not enough is so hard to bear that we often cover it with other behaviors, including addiction, isolation and hyper-activity. Let’s track its hold on our lives and challenge this illusion, because we are oh so worthy!
Religious education for youngsters as well as child care for infants and toddlers will be available. Please call 410-778-3440 for more information.
