The United States Mint has issued a limited number of Star Spangled Banner gold and silver coins to commemorate the pivotal Battle of Baltimore in the War of 1812. Surcharges collected from the sales will help fund programs and community events.
The silver proof and uncirculated coins are $54.95 and $49.95, respectively. The gold proof and uncirculated coins are currently $510 and $500, but are subject to price changes every Wednesday.
