Citing their shared passion for education, the economy, and protecting the Chesapeake Bay, Democratic Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger has endorsed Wendy Rosen in the Democratic Primary in Maryland’s 1st Congressional District.
Congressman Ruppersberger had this to say regarding his support for a fellow Democrat, “I care about jobs and so does Wendy Rosen. She works every day to stimulate our local and national economies and advocates for education on Capitol Hill. She knows what it takes to preserve our livelihoods- protecting the Chesapeake Bay, keeping our communities safe, and investing in our schools.”
Speaking with supporters in Cecil County Wendy was thankful for the Congressman’s support. “I am proud to have the support of my fellow Democrat, and hopefully future colleague, Dutch Ruppersberger. He has been a fantastic public servant for many years and I am eager to join him in Congress, working on the important issues that face Maryland every day.
Wendy Rosen is challenging John La Ferla and Kim Letke in the Democratic primary on April 3rd. The winner of that primary will go on to challenge Republican Andy Harris in the General Election.
