This Friday, March 2, at 5:00 PM, the Kent County Public Library will again provide a start to the self-guided stroll down High Street and beyond for a night of cultural mingling in downtown Chestertown. In keeping with the library’s mission to provide relevant
community programs and service, a showing of the art forms of LE Cunningham, Pat Alberico, Kent School students, and For All Seasons clientele will be featured.
Artist, designer, and illustrator Lauryn Cunningham strives to catch that moment in time when light just begins to permeate the frame both in oil and watercolor paintings. Inspired by the simple beauty of the Eastern Shore landscape, this native Marylander has recently settled in Chestertown with her husband and three children.
Retired educator Pat Alberico reveals favorite visions from her past with a newly discovered passion for self-expression through watercolor painting. She describes her pieces as reflections in a journal that illustrates influential moments in her life.
Kent School art instructor Theresa Schram introduces the works of the following art students:
K—Eddie Gillespie and Dax Christopher Haak
1st—Merritt Conner and Lane Parkhurst
2nd—Zachary LaFleur and Anna Nagel
3rd—Campbell Parkhurst, Annie Page Brocker, and Maggie Ross

For All Seasons, Inc., a community mental health center, will display the authentic and powerfully therapeutic self-portraits of ten victims of sexual assault. Led by artists Pamela Berry and Pamela Toll, this powerful tool for self-expression and healing utilizes the mediums of printmaking and additive sculpture.
The public is invited to park behind the building and begin this week’s First Friday festivities with this lively medley of local artwork to include, as always, family-friendly fare at the public library.
