CHESTERTOWN, MD — Washington College Athletics, in partnership with Stretch Internet, will soon launch “Goose Nation TV” as its official online video and audio portal. Goose Nation TV will feature the live video and audio broadcasts currently streamed via the Washington College Sports Network on Justin.tv as well as the short video vignettes currently found on WashingtonCollegeSports.com and the department’s YouTube page.
Goose Nation TV’s live video broadcasts will feature the addition of on-screen scoreboards and other broadcast features as well as the planned implementation of high-definition video this spring.
“We wanted to bring both our live broadcasts and our pre-recorded video pieces under one roof and increase the quality of our broadcasts, so partnering with Stretch Internet was a no brainer for us,” remarked Phil Ticknor, Washington College’s Assistant to the Athletic Director for Communications and Academic Support. “Stretch has proven to be a leader in streaming collegiate athletics events.”
Live video and audio broadcasts of Washington College Athletics will remain free of charge on Goose Nation TV, thanks to the generosity of the Sho’men Club, the College’s athletics booster club. Conner Fleegle, Washington College’s Athletics Broadcasting and Mascot Coordinator, will continue to head up the broadcasts and provide the play-by-play commentary for the majority of Goose Nation TV broadcasts.
Goose Nation TV is expected to launch next month.
