There will be a public hearing on the proposed rubble fill near Massey on Tuesday, Aug. 16 at 6 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Hearing Room, 400 High St.
The rubble fill would be owned and operated by Kent Recycling & Land Reclamation under a management agreement with the county. It would be on 339 acres and screened by trees. There is already a rubble fill in place on the site. The facility would receive approximately 1,200 tons of construction and demolition materials a day from locations in Maryland and Delaware. The site would be able to hold more than 36 million tons of debris.
