The Unitarian Universalists of the Chester River will be offering a family-oriented summer program with a focus on the environmental stewardship of water. Through a lens both scientific and religious with activities, music, and games, the whole family will enjoy together, this program addresses the importance of water for all living things and the inequity of access to fresh, clean water for people around the world.
Children and adults will create a riverscape mural together while thinking about questions such as: Can water be owned? Why is clean water scarce in parts of the world? If clean water is abundant where I live, what difference does it make if I conserve it? Programs will be held Sunday evenings on June 26, July 10, July 24, August 7, and August 21 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., and will include a pot-luck supper. Families are asked to bring a dish to share for the dinner. Families of all faith traditions are invited to attend. An adult must be present with children during the entire evening.
