Joan Rollins Viano Troutman of Kennedyville, MD died on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Chester River Manor. She was 74.
She was born on February 24, 1937, in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Eugene and Lillian Viano.
Mrs. Troutman graduated from Marjorie Webster Jr. College in Washington, D.C. with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education. She resided in many places throughout her life, but finally settled down in Kennedyville, MD. She was the consummate volunteer, usually involving education, in several of the places she resided over the years.
She loved quilting, cooking and, above all, spending time with her family.She raised her four children, Gary Robert Troutman and his wife Laura (Raleigh) of Marion, Montana, Cindy Rollins Troutman Wright and life partner Tony Allen of Pasadena, Maryland, Penny Janine Troutman Parker and her husband Scott of Leesburg, VA, and Pepi Ann Troutman Coleman and her husband Deke of Worton, MD. She is also survived by three siblings: Barbara Madelyn Viano LaRoche of Maine, John Felix Viano of Florida, and her twin sister Jean Bradford Viano Whitehurst of Florida, as well as grandchildren: Brandy Rollins Hood, Dillon Andrew Wright, Brittany Leigh Wright, Conner Stephen Newsome, Hunter Riley Coleman, Jessica Lynn Troutman, Tanner Marshall Troutman and Bethany Noelle Parker and Mitchell Graham Parker, and great grandchildren: Weldon Franklin Hood IV, Justin Drew Hood, and Lilyahna Rollins Hood.
