Margaret Ann Darling 1922-2011

Margaret Ann Darling of Sudlersville, MD went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 12, 2011. She was 88 years old.

Born December 7, 1922 in Maryland she was the daughter of the late John and Martha Beale Spencer. In 1942 she married Clarence E. Darling of Sudlersville, MD and the two began their life together there in Sudlersville. Mrs. Darling was a life time member of Holden’s Chapel Church and the Women’s Aid Club.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 69 years, Clarence E. Darling of Sudlersville, MD, two sons, Clarence R. Darling and wife Mary of Wyoming, DE , Alton E. Darling and wife Jeanette of Chestertown, MD, a devoted brother, Louis Spencer who made his home with her in Sudlersville, five grandchildren, Bobby Darling of Tampa, FL, Alton Darling Jr. of Barclay, MD, Martha Sparks of Easton, MD, Christina Darling of Newark, DE, Laura Morris of Marydel, DE, nine great grandchildren, a special niece, Joann Dones and many other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Darling was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank, John, James, Roland and Earl Spencer and sisters, Helen Jordan, Edith Long, and Bertha Smith.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 15, 2011 at 2pm at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home 370 Cypress St Millington, MD. Friends may call one hour prior.

Interment will be held in Sudlersville Cemetery in Sudlersville, MD

Memorial donations may be made to Holden’s Chapel 1126 Dudleys Corner Rd Millington, MD 21651.
