A recent study by the University of Miami and Columbia University indicates that a daily dose of diet soda could raise your risk of a vascular event – stroke, heart attack – by 61%. The American Beverage Association disputes this finding, saying that a person’s risk factors include a host of other elements, but the study is sobering at least, and worth taking into consideration when you reach for that third diet soda of the day!
