Bay Bridge Repair to End this Week – Permanently

May 26, 2010 by Bay Journal

Share

The Baltimore Sun reported today that most of the bridge work on the western span of the Bay Bridge is due to be complete by the end of this week.  Since construction started in 2007, the bridge has been an unpredictable and frustrating journey, particularly for those traveling at night. The $65 million resurfacing work forced drivers in both directions to share the eastern span, which proved to be a harrowing experience for many, particularly after the crash that sent one driver to his death.

I hope the headline is in error. I’d hate to think that there will never again be any maintenance done on the span. Not certain what the editor means by indicating that repairs are ending ‘permanently’.
