Don’t be alarmed if you live in Chestertown and hear loud explosions Saturday, May 15th around 8:30 p.m. You will be hearing the fireworks display that helps celebrate Reunion Weekend and Commencement at Washington College. The pyrotechnics will be launched from the college sports fields that front route 291, Morgnec Road, and will last approximately 20 minutes.
For safety reasons, Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium, a viewing venue last year, will not be open during the fireworks. Parking on campus will be extremely limited, but some spaces may be available in the parking lot located behind the newest residence halls and accessible from Morgnec Road.
